"I Paint Suzhou" Digital Art Festival
Suzhou, China, 2022
Participation in the 3rd "I Paint Suzhou" Digital Art Festival in Suzhou, the heritage city.
Flowers bloom and fade, like our lives. Sometimes we feel joy or sadness, sometimes highs and lows. This ancient city, marked by historical ups and downs, has endured for a long time and has carried the beauty of many peoples and cultures. Poets and sages, passing through this precious place, can feel the prosperity and poetry of Suzhou. I use flowers to evoke the city's prosperity and employ immersive interactive devices to create a brief interaction between the viewer and the flowers.
When flowers open and float away at the touch of a finger, it's no longer a simple visual movement; it's the world's response to our presence.
Epanouissement (Blooming) is an immersive and interactive installation where every human gesture becomes the source of blossoming. With a simple touch of the screen, the digital flowers come to life: they open, twirl, and breathe. The work explores the intimate connection between human beings and the life that surrounds them. Flowers, universal symbols of ephemeral beauty, become a sensitive mirror of our existence. This creation invites us to slow down, to feel, to understand that every contact, even a digital one, can carry within it a charge of poetry and memory. The visitor is not a passive spectator, but a co-creator of a fragile and vibrant world.
An interactive metaphor for breath, for life, and for the fragility of connection.

The flower shop reminds us of places of exchange, such as buying gifts for loved ones. This giving is inspired by joyful or sorrowful emotions. Through this multimedia installation, I present a live sensory experience in an interactive, visual, physical, and olfactory way.
